A visual experiment in human interpretation versus algorithmic synthesis. This series takes an idea in the form of a text prompt and explores two different outcomes: a photograph captured by me, and a digital image generated by artificial intelligence.
The AI imagery is generated using only the initial text prompt and a reference photo of the subject(s) taken on their day off; the photograph I capture during our session in no way influences the AI's outcome.
I am currently seeking models and collaborators to help expand this project. There are no traditional poses or set scripts—just a prompt, a camera, a shared creative space, and the human perspective.

"Taken of my friend from a top down perspective (like on a ladder), wearing a lot of bright 60s style clothing, listening to vinyl music and lounging in the sun on a Hawaiian style towel. In the grass. She also has bright red hair. She likes to smoke marijuana. The text "Be A Weed" must be visible in the image."

"Taken of my 4 friends that have graduated from RISD. It is an alleyway on campus where they liked to hang out. They are illuminated by a bright spotlight. They are dressed in leather. The look is inspired by The Hackers film by Iain Softley. Make sure the image is in landscape format."

"Black and white image. My friend is on a rooftop grate that is shaped like a spider web. I am looking at her from the bottom through the grate. Her hair is waving in the wind. She is smiling looking forward toward the horizon. It looks as if she is caught by the spider web."

"This is a slow exposure abstract shot. Very colorful. My friend is moving around her silhouette and traces of blond hair are visible. She looks almost ghostly like a wisp of air. Make sure the image is in portrait format."
